- the US misuses the A-bomb after developing it, and then after bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it decides to go crazy and bomb other places.
- this causes a chain reaction, and the war still rages on.
- the two superpowers of the world, US and Russia have enough nuclear arsenals to affect the world if they went into nuclear warfare.
- this would mess everything up, throwing debris into the atmosphere, major cities attacked would burn to the ground.
- the US has enough petroleum, and other combustible materials that would put about 100 million tons of smoke into the air, which would block out the sun.
- with the sun blocked out, our farmlands would be useless, resulting in worldwide famine, and deaths.
- if we had enough resources after the attack, we might be able to live underground, due to the unlivable conditions on the surface, but it probably wouldn't happen, because our resources would've probably been wiped out.
2)
- the Germans develop the nuclear A-bomb before the US does in WW II.
- this results in mass deaths, because they probably woul've dropped it onto the US, resulting the in the Germans winning WW II.

- the Germans take over the world, and the world that we see today would cease to exist.
3)
- the first A-bomb that was developed failed it's first test.
- one of three things could've happened:
- with the failure of this bomb, the US stops researching the splitting of the atom, and just keeps on fighting the war, which means either the war would still be going on, the allies win, or the enemies win.
- with the failure of this bomb, the US keeps on researching and finds a new source of energy that is even more powerful than the atom. They develop a way to harness this energy into a weapon, and either they control how they use it, or they go crazy and destroy the human race.
- with the failure of the bomb, the US goes on and wins the war without the A-bomb, and then world peace is established.
