U.S. Navy File Photo

This photo was taken during the last cruise for both the VA-75 Sunday Punchers (Tail Marking AA), the first East Coast and Navy Intruder squadron, and the VA-196 Main Battery (AKA Milestones, Tail Markings NK).

I do not know the actual age of this photo, but it is an A6E, minus the DRS Ball under the front nose.  I do believe that the 15989x series was made in the late seventies. It has to be prior to 1986, because when I arrived at VA-42, all of the aircraft were painted with the gray on gray scheme.

Jeff emailed me to add his family photo to the gallery so here it is!  As we can see, Jeff don't look a whole lot different than we remember him from his MATKWEPSDET days!

This photo, I am assuming was taken in the middle of the 1990's around the time when most of the A6 squadrons were standing down.  I received an email, explaining that this aircraft was being prepared for being placed as a gate guard at NAS Whidbey Island.

This Tiny Photo is of the Grumman TC4C Academe used for training B/N's before training in the A6 Intruder.  This one happens to be from the Green Pawns of VA-42.  It has a full B/N's Cockpit configuration inside and all of the electronics found in the Intruder, which explains why it radome (nose) is very similar to the Intruder.  This picture is courtesy of Bill Watkins.

This is my wife with my younger stepson, Thomas at Paso Robles, CA. for the Fourth of July Celebration in 1997. Dee and I have been married over six years.
