Tour Guide for Tenerife


Beaches, Night Clubs, Water Sports, Hang-Gliding, Go-Karting you name it, we probably have it. But - the less sophisticated venues are also extremely interesting. Car Hire is cheap, Buses and Taxi's are plentiful, as are 'Island Tours'. Fly or Ferry to the other Islands as well.


El Medano. The World Wind-Surfing championships are held here There is always a strong wind for the surfers, yet a sheltered beach viewpoint for the spectators. Worth a visit, we always have some spectacular action there.

Candelaria. Go right to the end and sit at a local bar for Tapas and drinks in a beautiful square by the sea, next to the famous ‘Church of the Black Virgin’. Vegetable and Other Markets on Sunday Mornings.

Continente. First class modern supermarket and shopping mall, with free parking and a wide variety of merchandise. You will see the ‘Centro Comercial’ sign on your right soon after passing Candelaria.

Santa Cruz. The capital of Tenerife and busy main port of the island. Parking by the front in centre of city. Some great Shops, Museums etc. White sand beach ‘Las Terrasitas’ about 3 mile past the capital.

Taganana National Park. Go through and past Santa Cruz on the coast road. About 2 miles past Santa Cruz, take the left turn to San Andres and on to the National Park of Taganana.

La Laguna. The islands University town with Museums and oldest church on the Island.

Loro Parque - Puerto de la Cruz. Visit the incredible Loro Parque, should not be missed. Puerto also has a great selection of shops and restaurants, Botanical Gardens etc and has a large popular sea-front Lido.

El Monisterio Restaurant, at La Montaña, Los Realajos. Situated about 4 miles above Puerto on the upper side of the motorway. Great choice of good food, all in the incredible setting of this old Monastery.

Garachico. Old ‘handicraft’ town with Craft Markets, old buildings.

Oratava Valley. A beautiful valley on the north side of Mount Teide. Oratava has Craft, old Architecture such as the ‘House of Balconies’ and many excellent gift shops.

Pearl Factory. Just below Arneñime village. Spectacular jewellery displays, and some surprisingly good 'value for money' gifts.

Los Gigantes. Spectacular cliffs and lava formations. Secluded beach. Interesting Marina & Food.

Masca. Nr Santiago del Teide. Incredible views from hidden, secluded village, secret for many years.

Icod de los Viños. Home of the 1000 year old so called ‘Dragon Tree’.

Mount Teide. Awesome views, used in Star Wars, Planet of the Ape films. Cable Car to top. From Playa/Los Cristianos, take the Guia de Isora route to go up, then come down via Vilaflor or Oratava.
