I WORKED IN GANESH BENZOPLAST (INDIA) AS AN INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER FROM 27/6/1988 TILL 01/02/ 1990 A SEMI AUTOMATIC PLANT EMPLOYING PLC CONTROLS AND P.I.D CONTROLLERS. HERE I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL MAINTENANCE, CALIBRATION OF THE INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM.

SECOND JOB DESCRIPTION 
I WORKED IN P.T. SUNRISE BUMI TEXTILES (INDONESIA) AS AN CHIEF ENGINEER FROM 12/FEB/1990 TILL 2/JAN/99. THIS IS A MODERN TEXTILE YARN SPINNING FACTORY (75,000 SPINDLES) HAVING THE LATEST MACHINERY SUCH AS SCHLAFHORST AUTOCONER AC238, TRUTZSCHLER DK 703 CARD AND HOWA AUTOMATIC DOFFING RING FRAMES. THESE MACHINES EMPLOY USE PLC CONTROLS, AND INVERTER DRIVEN DRIVES .ITS CONTRACT DEMAND IS 12,500 KVA. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • PLANNING  AND IMPLEMENTING PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES OF PRODUCTION MACHINES AS WELL AS ENTIRE ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONIC AND AIR-CONDITIONING   INSTALLATIONS SUCH AS ELECTRICAL TRANSFORMERS, DISTRIBUTION BOARDS, CHILLERS, AIR COMPRESSORS. 
  • CARRYING OUT REPAIRS ON ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SUCH AS PLC'S, INVERTERS AND ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT BOARDS. 
  • PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING OF NEW PROJECTS. 
  • IDENTIFYING AND IMPLEMENTING POWER SAVINGS. 
  • ENSURING ALL WORKS ARE CARRIED OUT WITHIN THE ALLOCATED BUDGET. 
  • CARRYING OUT MODIFICATIONS TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT.

  • SMOOTH CHANGEOVER FROM DIESEL GENSET POWER TO PLN (STATE ELECTRICITY BOARD ) POWER.    THIS WAS ACHIEVED AT A MINIMAL LOSS OF PRODUCTION
  • 5 % REDUCTION IN TOTAL POWER CONSUMPTION
  • IMPROVEMENT IN DEPARTMENT HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS. 
  • DESIGN OF A 25,000 SPINDLE TEXTILE SPINNING UNIT
