ORO-PHARYNGEAL SURGICAL PROCEDURES

Procedures to treat dorsal displacement of the soft palate DDSP (choke) and epiglottic entrapment EE have traditionally involved surgical approaches via a laryngotomy (ventral laryngeal ) incision only. More recently oral (through the mouth) approaches have been developed. In some cases a laryngotomy is not required.
NB: OPP = Oral Palatopharyngoplasty
TPP = Tension Palatoplasty
