Evolution by DNA sequence comparison.
Techniques:
Automated DNA sequencing. Large scale DNA sequencing. Cycle sequencing of PCR and plasmid templates.

Department of Medical Genetics, University of Uppsala.
Research focused on MHC-DRB in seals and the HFE mutation in hereditary hemochromatosis patients in Jämtland.
Techniques:
PCR on genomic and plasmid DNA also long-range PCR.

Research on renal cell cancer and chromosomal mapping.
Techniques:
DNA/RNA isolation from frozen tissue and tissue culture. Jumping/linking library construction. Cloning of PCR products. Manual and automated DNA sequencing. T7 and Cycle sequencing of PCR products and plasmids. Solid phase sequencing also using the combs for Pharmacia A.L.F.

Research on Vaccina virus and glucoproteins.
Techniques:
Tissue culture. Cell fractionation. Protein purification mainly from Vaccinia infected cells.
