ATC (AW) USN ret.

Okay folks, here it is. The virtual reality of where a retired Chief airdale now hangs out. Just in case you're wondering, I was the Avionics-type guy in VA-72, VP-1, and VP-4. I did tours at NAS Meridian, recruiting in Honolulu,Hawaii, and an instuctor tour at NAMTG Det1036 in San Diego.

Having been around the world three times, above the Arctic Circle, and below the Equator....I finally retired from the Navy and got a job teaching school. The first couple of years were spent in the elementary grades. This was okay, but the peanut butter and snot on my pants had to go...I had the opportunity to move up to the high school set, and this is my tenth year at Brawley Union High School in Brawley, CA. My assignment this year is Electronics, Electrical, Drafting, and Architecture teacher. Sherry is now in her eighth year of teaching at Central Union High School here in El Centro, where she is the Title VII Resource teacher.

Sherry, the kids, and I moved out of San Diego back in '94 or so, and moved to the desert out in El Centro. We are sitting on the California/Mexico border halfway between San Diego and Yuma, Arizona. I guess we are still living in the "Deep South"....kinda sorta anyway.Oh yeah, Sam is living over in the San Diego area in Mission Beach. The kid is doing pretty in the surf scene, and is paying the bills working for Emerald City, a major surf store in Pacific Beach. Meanwhile Samantha is a student at East Central University in Oklahoma. Karleene and family is currently in the cold forbidden north. They are surviving the Ohio winters in Cedar Rapids.
