VU Homework - PSP5 Course - Page6

Homework for Week 6: Photography

After this course, I'll never again believe what I see in a picture!

More gargoyles, this time Vannes and his wife from the city of Vannes in southern Brittany, France. I guess we can see who was the boss there.

A ball in the hand is worth . . .

Boy, was this work! But the possibilities are fantastic. Someday when I have time (like when the Perl project is finished) I'll redo this.

Here is the helmet looking brand new and shiny.

I've had a lot of trouble with the lasso lately. It simply will not outline an entire image and when I use the SHIFT it leaves lines between the parts, so I had to use the clone brush to get rid of them. It looked OK on the monitor at home; I hope it's alright on my webpage.

Blend Mode = Lighten

Blend Mode = Hue

Blend Mode = Multiply

Blend Mode = Exclude

I used the "Hue" method using a layer of deep pink taken from the Nicepink pattern to change the colour of the text, then Pattern Fill + Blend Mode = Lighten

Now that I see this, I wish I had made the bubbles a bit more transparent.

Whoooooosh! I really don't know why I'm doing this. Usually I'm trying to get rid of the fuzzy edges in my pictures!

This is simply super! How I wish I had time to play with this. But Perl is calling.

When my Perl project is finished, then I will have a ball playing with all those fancy photo edges and all the tubes, buttons, filters, etc. out there on the Web.
P.S. Paris/Parc/6998 should change his/her colour scheme. The white text does not show when the pages are printed out, which is a pity because his/her ideas are great.

Many thanks to Linda Nieuwenstein for all her work in presenting this course and evaluating our efforts. She has made this one of the best VU courses.
