What is Lincity?

Lincity is an exciting city/country simulation game written by I.J. Peters. Lincity requires you to build and maintain a city. You must feed, house, provide jobs and goods for your residents. You can build a sustainable economy with the help of renewable energy and recycling, or you can go for broke and build rockets to escape from a pollution ridden and resource starved planet, it's up to you.

Will lincity run on my computer?

Lincity for Win32 is know to run under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT workstation 4.0, and Windows 2000. Presumably it will also work on Windows XP and Windows ME. Because lincity uses long filenames, you might not be able to run it under a 32 bit installation of Windows 3.1 (a.k.a. win32s).

Is lincity free?

Yes. Lincity is copyrighted software, © 1995-1999 IJ Peters, 1997-2003 Greg Sharp, and many others (see Acknowledgements). Lincity is distributed under the GNU public license. You may freely copy, distribute and modify this program in any form, provided you adhere to the conditions specified in the license.

Notes

You will need an unzip program that can handle long filenames. I recommend the (free and good) InfoZip software.
