Water Shower

Here you will see a good efect of the Bernouli's principle.

Procedures

  1. For this experiment you will need a thin tube (you can use a capilar tube), a lab stand, a vacuum cleaner with a reversible buttonm, a becker, water, a place where you can wet and an adult.
  2. Fix the thin tube in the lab stand
  3. Dive the thin tube in thebecker with water
  4. Turn on the reversible button of the vacuum cleaner
  5. Plug the vacuum cleaner
  6. Aim the cleaner on the end of the tube
  7. The water in the becker MUST rise up in the tube
  8. When the water come to the and, it will sprinkle everywhere

If you can't do it in your house because you can't wet any where, you can change the water by some very small pieces of paper. But then the tube must be larger than this one.

You can go home now or you can continue reading.

Explanation

The Bernoulli's principle says that a high velocity in a fluid generates low pressure. When the air of the vacuum cleaner is aimed to the end of the tube, it creates low pressure there. And the normal pressures of the air pushes the water into the tube. When it comes to the end it will shower everywhere.
