RAGING BULL

at Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois

Raging Bull is the B&M "hypertwister" roller coaster at Six Flags Great America. It is one of only two of its kind in the world (Apollo's chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is similar, but has far fewer turns). The nearly mile long ride features a huge 208ft first drop that plunges into a tunnel, followed by several more twisted drops over 100ft tall. A figure-eight finale ends the ride with a bang. Each of the three trains holds 36 people (9 rows of 4 people), and are very comfortable. Overall the ride is smooth and very fast, and much quieter than most B&M creations. The back seat has decent airtime, while the front seat has very little blocking your view, and a 73mph wind in your face. Raging Bull perfectly complements Great America's coaster collection, as it already has two woodies, four looping coasters, a family twister, and a kiddie coaster.
