Tomorrow is Another Day
Tomorrow is Another Day. It certainly is. Tomorrow has in fact, never failed to be another day. That is certain. Reliable. And it certainly is safe to say.
Ok, seriously, I have always wondered how anyone can draw inspiration from such a plain statement of obvious fact as "Tomorrow is another day". But some people sure seem to. When has tomorrow ever failed to be another day?? Maybe I should start saying "Two months from now it'll be another day", or "Yesterday was another day", or "Gravity never fails" and cast my gaze towards the heavens, let out a deep breath and act all inspired. Jeez.
I suppose the earnest hope of the people to take heart in this expression is that tomorrow will be a fresh start, or tomorrow they may overcome the difficulties they couldn't today. Well there is a chance of the second one, but more than likely tomorrow will just be another day to beat your head against the same, or similar, intractable problems as you did today. Breakthroughs in anything don't come along every day.
Tomorrow is another day. Uh-huh.
