Thanks found lots of great info. I am currently a Quality Manager in the Canadian Air Force. We of course have to be different and call our version of IS0 900X, AF9000 Plus. It is interesting because it includes 4 additional requirements to the existing 2 : namely quality of life, continuous improvement, business planning and leadership. Thanks again for the info. When is the six sigma pages going to be done?

I am a Quality Assurance Manager for a Class 2 Medical Device manufacturer. Some years ago I heard that a company that has a customer complaint rate less than 500 PPM would be considered to be a world class company. I am not sure I totally agree with that however I am looking for some reference point where I can at least bench mark against. We currently are operating at less than 500 PPM and are have been actively reducing the complaint rate over the past 3 years through tracking, trending, failure analys s and corrective actions. We are ISO certified and just had an audit. Although the auditors complemented us on our program, I want to establish realistic goals that will allow us to continue to improve without breaking the bank. I have done a lot of inter et searches and found little to no help. I just ran across your web site through a link. Do you know of any web sites, literature, other resources I might be able to bench mark against to show objectively what might be consider an industry standard? By th way we do plastic blow molding, and assembly to produce our product. So I am looking for information related to hand assembly type of operation. Any help would be appreciated.
