LAUNCH EQUIPMENT

Nestled among the boxes and other stored items of my cellar, is my "lab". I keep all my stuff down there, pretty much because the rockets smell to much to keep in my room, and my room is already messy enough without rockets laying everywhere.

LAUNCH CONTROL: I launch my rockets using and old Centuri controler of my dad's. I'm not sure what year it's from, sometime in the 60's I'm guessing.
It is powered by one 6 volt battery which won't last as long as you'd think. I've never mesured how long the wires are, but they're over 3 yards.
The clips are a little big and heavy so they usualy touch the pad. I put a stick or leaf on the pad so it's not a problem.

LAUNCH PAD:This just a basic Porta Pad III from Estes. My original Porta Pad II's legs broke while in storage for three years so I bought this new one. Like the other one it can pe pointed 30 degrees from vertical. I have a 1/8" dia. 32" long launch rod and a 3/16" dia 32" long rod.

STORAGE: I store all mt stuff except rockets in this foot locker. It too was my dad's before mine. I also paint all my rockets on it.
