Estes Mk-109 Stingray
EST 2131

The Stingray is a semi-scale version of the ship to air missle. By semi-scale I mean, it has the general shape of the real one, but it's not a scale version of it.

The first flight it flew out of control, so I put some clay in the nose cone. It flies fine now.

Launch Log

Flight # Date Engine Weather Comments
1 11/15/99 B6-4 Very windy The thing shot off sideways into the woods. Luckly came down right where two trees had just fallen. Got very lucky.
2 11/25/99 B6-4 No wind Good flight, good recovery.
3 11/28/99 B6-4 Very windy Not quite as stable as I thought. It corkscrewed off into the woods and landed in a tall tree. Didn't like this one much anyway.
