Adult Recognition

Cubmaster's and Committee Chairs, don’t forget the recognitions for your valuable volunteers. Recognizing leaders and helpful parents is the best thing you can do to insure the stability of your Pack. Even adults like to get certificates and awards. Be Creative when making them, even silly. Most of all have fun and recognize those adults!

Leader Training

Getting Trained is one of the most important things we as adults can do to bring a quality program to our Pack. The importance of learning how to work with the boys as well as some of the added things you learn from "seasoned" leaders makes training worthwhile.

There is also Roundtables, Pow-Wow's and Universities of Scouting that can be attended. All of these will make you a better leader and help you make the boys program fun and educational. For more information on training see your Committee Chair or contact your local Council office.

Pinewood Derby

Pinewood Derby is usually one of the culminating events of the scouting year. Most Packs will hold it after the Christmas Holidays. It is a time when the Scouts and their parents can spend some quality time together building their cars. And it's not all about winning, it's about the doing. If you show them how to have fun competing the young men will enjoy life more thoroughly. And yes, winning is a bonus!
