When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.

— Leonardo da Vinci

Never stop being a kid. Never stop feeling and seeing and being excited with great things like air and engines and sounds of sunlight within you. Wear your little mask if you must to protect you from the world but if you let that kid disappear you are grown up and you are dead.

— Richard Bach, 'Nothing by Chance'

Chapter 35 welcomes three new pilots

We have three new gyro pilots, or soon to be pilots in our club. Ken Bricker from Girard, IL is now flying the rebuilt High Command. We need to get a picture of Ken's machine. Currently Ken is based at Greenville IL. Carl Shirley has recently purchased a like-new Sport Copter. Carl is a long time pilot and Air Force retiree, and will be taking gyro lessons at Perryville to learn to fly his Sport Copter. Darren Twellman is just now completing his new Magni M-16, and will be continuing his gyro training very soon at Perryville. Congratulations to all.

Darren Twellman was recently asked on a gyro internet forum why he purchased a Magni Gyro. You may find his post on the forum entertaining. (www.rotaryforum.com (Kit makers and manufacturers/2 place open machines/Magni M-16 all finished) Better yet, have Darren tell you his story in person at a fly-in this summer!
