This is the view from our hotel room in Lloret del Mar, on the costa brava (rough coast) on the Spanish Riviera.  The only bad thing about this town, was that it is more of a spring break type community.  The farther you get away from the beach, the better the hotel.  The ones overlooking the beach don't have TVs, and several only have community bathrooms.  It gets pretty wild there, and too many rooms get trashed.  You can tell most of the bars are open until nine in the morning.  The weather was mostly good for April, but it did get a bit chilly with the wind off the Med.  We were able to do some swimming though.  Some of the pics I lost were of me at a Flamenco show, and at a medieval dinner.  That was fun, no silverware allowe and all the wine you could drink.

This is on one of the bluffs overlooking the beach.  There are several rock formations along the trails that wind around the hills overlooking the beach.

As you can see the beach ws very nice, but you had to get there early to get a good seat.  This was in the early morning before it warmed up and people started to show up.  In the background on the hills you can see and old outpost that was used to watch the sea.
