This is the Palace at Versailles.  My next favorite place.  It was built in1624 by Louis XIV.

The Gardens are 250 acres of beautiful landscaping, wiht many statues and fountains.  There is a Grand Canal, more than 200 feet wide and a mile long.

This is the hall of mirrors.  It is 246 feet long and 3 feet wide, with 17 large windows.  In teh days of King Louis, it was lit by 3000 candles.

The rather ostentatious Gueens Bedchamber.  Marie Antoinette slept here.
