Hello again,

A big welcome to all the new Operators (in no particular order)

BaBy........ Welcome back Pie, a founder member and long-time member of the Casual Gang, one of the friendliest and chattiest  people I know, everyone lubs ya!

Lotus......... A well deserved promotion, for a loyal user,  she waited patiently and I know she'll be great

Seth..........  I don't know Seth that well but he was recommended and all agreed he'll make a good Operator

Oz.............  He deserted but we recaptured him, he gets punished by more of the same #Casual torture, hur hur.

Hul............ Why didn't Hul get opered months ago? I dunno! But he's got it at last.. a great bloke, GOOD!

Canderz..... Canderz is back from her travels and just as sweet as ever "Lix" mmmm sweet!

Diva-babes. A very bubbly and helpful person,  recommended by me, so she's got to be great!

Pearestoc.... A respected and helpful user, been around a long time and put forward and recommended by many!

I hope you are all enjoying your new status and that you'll be happy with it! If you have any questions or problems don't hesitate to contact me or other Operators/Managers for advice. It might help if you take a look at the Casual Operators page for some guidelines and help with using Op commands, I'm still updating the page but there's lots of useful stuff there!

We have a Casual E-Group where we discuss channel issues, you'll all be on that as soon as I can sort it out, I lost my access to admin and ShyGuy can fix it (he owns the E-Group) but he's disappeared and I'm waiting for a reply from him! I NEED your E-mail addresses in the meantime, so all those that haven't sent me theirs, can you do so soon please to dj.murphy@ntlworld.com

For those Ops that don't know:  please be careful if others have access to the same computer you use, if they get on mIRC they too have access to Ops when they are using your Ident/password. Please get them to use a different mIRC with a different ident as you will be held responsible for any insecurity issues with your status from your computer! For any help on this please contact me via IRC or e-mail.

CASUAL WEB

I'm still updating this site and I will be adding some new pics and bios to the Gallery soon. I've further updated the Ops and FAQ page,  getting rid of some spelling mistakes and also fixed non-working links and removed one or two where needed! If you find any bad links or spellinge mistooks then please let me know. I hope everything is easier to navigate and understand on the Casual Web now, it certainly loads up faster and looks better!

I'm going to put a link or two to some online games so if it's quiet in the channel there will be something to amuse users!

If anyone has links to their web pages they want added to the links page or ideas for more pages please let me know via e-groups or e-mail me direct!

Casual Web Update

What's my favourite colour then?

Yep as promised I made a major update to the front end of the site, with some good advice from Jane, we made the index page much easier to look at and navigate, I removed some links to the less visited pages and generally made the whole thing appear on your browser much faster, we hope you like it.. It might get some background change as the one we made is not quite what we wanted, we have to get the hang of the painting programs we used, but we're getting there, look out for more later.......

Afternet wars

It seems whilst we were casually chatting away on the channel there was a network war going on in the background, there was some sort of takeover bid (I think) and Rubin came to the rescue and saved the network from rebellion (I think) anyways take a look at the link below and you will see how close we came to losing AfterNet, hopefully things are OK now but I'm keeping an eye on things!

Website Updates

I have updated the Ops Page to make the guidelines easier to understand and changed my e-mail contact addresses (at last) and taken some of the old news links off here!

More to come!!!

I'm going to bring the #Channel Statistics up to date soon, they are usually quite amusing (to see old statistics look on the link below..)

Hippy is updating the Picture Gallery and hopefully that will be done soon, I've seen a preview and it's cool!

I might have a go at changing the main page soon as it takes too long to get on the screen of most people's computers, so there'll be less fancy images and hopefully it will be faster, better looking and smaller than it is now!!
