TOP LOAD / TOROID
This is my top load, made of aluminium it was spun in Melbourne. It's 1300mm wide X 250mm high, (approx 51 X 10 inches). It was originally 2 halves that have been welded together and then polished. It's probably a little big for my secondary but I can always make a bigger secondary :-)) !!
This is my new setup I designed after my first light. I found that the height of the top load was causing the top of the secondary to breakdown, I put another much smaller toroid straight on top of the secondary and then attached the larger topload above it. I can vary the height of the larger topload by using different lengths of connecting pipe.
