Fourth Of July Parade 2000

Bring ideas to the June 10th meeting for the Electric Light Parade July 3, 2002. Inventory what you have in a patriotic flavor so you can add your stuff to the float. Theme "A Tribute to America". Patti has storage room for stuff until the night of decoration. Make it a date June 30 Sunday, 1:00 P.M. at a garage on campus (the one used last time).
Someone take pictures for inclusion on this web site.

We didn't win First Place this year, we took BEST OVERALL. The prize was most welcome to assist the club with its budget. The float committee put in lots of planning and just plain hard work. Thanks to all who supported the effort.

(Left)Part of parades is the waiting for something to happen. The military call it hurry up and wait.(Right)Part of what made this float BEST was the diversity of the entry. Here is the scooter patrol which circled the floats.

Here is the team. What a group.

(Left) Yep, even Nicole can burn. (Right) Nicole mauls the bear.

(Left) Let's get the Navy into this... (Right) Nice float.

(Left) Ben and Gertrude (Right) What an entry.

(Left) And these smiles are before the parade. (Right) Flag of lights. Nice touch.
