Vieten Aviation was started by Kurt W. Vieten in 1998.  The intent of Vieten Aviation is to promote Giant Scale Radio Control Aircraft to a new level by experimenting with advanced techniques in the following areas:
   - Composite Materials Construction
   - Non-Traditional Air Vehicle Configurations
   - Advanced Propulsion Systems
   - Advanced Electronics Control
   - Payload Experiments
Kurt W. Vieten
Kurt built his first RC Aircraft in 1993 (kit design) although he had a Burt Rutan inspired Scratch Canard design laying around since 1987.  Kurt finally built and flew the Canard design (utilizing Rutan's moldless composite construction techniques) in 1997.  He has since built many aircraft and has heavily modified them to carry payloads such as aerial cameras.

He has recently built and flight tested a 127 in span Giant Scale vehicle (his own design called the DragonHawk) that can carry up to 10 lbs of payload.

Kurt is a Control Systems Engineer by profession with a strong background in Actuation Systems, Air Vehicle Systems Integration and Flight Testing.
