School Pictures

We've got Emily's school pictures, but Jon was absent for his so I mocked one up for him. Emily is in the 8th grade at the Chenery Middle School. Jonathan is going to the Walker School in Needham this year.

Pumpkin Pictures

Each year we send out holiday cards with a picture of our children holding pumpkins. Many friends and family have commented on how they look forward to the pictures each holiday season and on the reserved spot on their refridgerator where the card resides all year long. Here's the chronology of the cards...

Pumpkin Picture 2002

Emily (Age 14½) and Jonathan (Age 9) -- One more time in Lexington, MA along Mass Ave. We waited too long this year -- there weren't many leaves left on the trees.

The kids at Nantasket Beach 2001

The kids and I go to the beach on Summer weekends. Our rule is: we go when the tide reaches their hole in the sand. This was August 2001 on Nantasket Beach.

Gracie at Jill's Wedding

In August 2001, Gracie and I attended my cousin Jill's wedding in Williamsburg, VA. Jill gave Gracie her bouquet because Jill had caught the bouquet at my wedding. (We made Jill give the bouquet back because she was too young at the time -- Isn't Gracie too young too?! I'm not ready for the next couple of years!)

Mothers Day 2002 - Leonard Zakim Bridge

On Mothers Day, the Leonard Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge was opened to pedestrian traffic. The bridge is the crown jewel of the infamous "Big Dig" project in Boston. Most of the project is under ground (hence "Dig" in it's name), but the bridge is a very visible landmark that carries the Central Artery from the new tunnel across the Charles River. The crowds far exceeded the organizer's estimates even though the weather was cold and dreary.
