NEWS & EVENTS 2009

Last year's trials of the new Site 2 at J12 appear to be successful, and work will continue this year to improve the strip at both sites.

Below are some dates that are known, with possibly one or two additions to come - some may change. Note that if anyone wants to hold or organise any special flying events, trips etc, then just have a word with someone from the Committee.

Sat 28th March, and
Sat April 4th 2009

 GARDENING (Site 2, J12 Site)
Not a flying event, but just to remind volunteer members that we can "Blitz" some areas of the pits/access track etc that need trimming. Flying as normal.

Sat 2nd May 2009

 1/12th SCALE FUNDAY (Harlington Site)
This is a new venture. We'll try to celebrate this size of model (there are a lot of them out there). It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's 1/11th-1/12-1/13 scale. More details and programme later. Members can also use the J12 site for other flying.

 COMBAT Competition - ACES UK NATIONAL (Harlington Site)
No normal club flying during competition, but evening flying will be OK. You can also use the J12 site of course.

No normal club flying during competition, but evening flying will be OK. You can also use the J12 site of course.

No normal club flying during competition, but evening flying will be OK. You can also use the J12 site of course.

No normal club flying during competition, but evening flying will be OK. You can also use the J12 site of course.

 Combat Competition - ACES COMPETITION RESERVE DATE(Harlington Site)
This date will only be used if one of the previous events is postponed. No normal club flying during competition, but evening flying will be OK. You can also use the J12 site of course.
