SKYRIDERS MAA - ABOUT US

THE CLUB
The club is proud to say that as part of it's constitution and philosophy, ANY type of aircraft can be flown, provided that there are no associated safety or environmental issues.
We welcome members of varying skill levels, young and old alike, in an effort to maintain a well balanced cross section of members and types of aircraft. Training and tuition is carried out by the more experienced club members.
Please browse the Gallery photos, which will help to give a picture of us.

THE SITES
The club boasts two flying fields. There are slightly different operating procedures for each site, so please check out the specific differences.

The first (and original) site is situated halfway between Harlington and Sharpenhoe in Bedfordshire, a few minutes from Junction 12 of the M1. This field was aquired in March 2000, to provide a base for pilots and modellers with a progessive, easy-going outlook. It is designated as the Harlington, or Number 1 site. For details, click HERE - FIELD 1

The second site was aquired early in 2008, The main reason for this was to give us more area to fly in. It is closer to the M1 motorway than the first site, and is therefore designated as The J12, or Number 2 site. For details, click HERE - FIELD 2

VISITORS.
The club welcomes any interested non-members onto the site. If you are attending any open type of event, and wish to fly, please bring a current copy of your third party liability insurance with you.

AIRCOMBAT
