The 8th Army Airforce.
The 8th Air Force were the first to take a sustained long range unescorted daylight bombing fight into the heart of Germany. Until the advent of the P-51 Mustang escort fighters they took devastating losses but were never turned back. Below are some of their stories.
The men listed here are members of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society. The William P. Booth Squadron is an organization founded and nurtured by Dan Fisher and his wife Reba. I would like to thank them both for their tireless efforts in supporting this organization.
