Clifford White, VF-4 USS Ranger / USS Essex - From the North Cape of Norway to the Japanese Home Islands

Clifford Whites war took him from the North Cape of Norway helping the British hunting German battleships lurking on the fjords to the coast flying against the French for operation Torch. He ended his war with the battles over the home islands of Japan defending task force 58 aganst the Kamikaze. Few individuals and units were exposed to so many theaters of the conflict. His is a unique experience for an farm boy who saw his first real mountains on his mission over Norway.
