in 1999 Erin helped me set up the page & taught me enough HTML to get me going.

I got involved in this by surfing into the Remembering Project Web site one evening and was drafted by the founder Dave Colewell to join their group of amateur historians and family members of veterans who were keeping the memories of the men and women who lived the events alive. Having always had an interest in the subject and with the advantages of the internet for research and e-mail, the page got its start in September of 1999 with the story of Harvey Jacobs of the 9th AAF and has been a work in progress ever since. Many family members of the profiles have helped me with the collection of information, e-mail photos and in the case of the Europeans translation of letters. If you have a family member or friend who might be interested in sharing their story drop me an e-mail. It is at the bottom of the index page.
