This is a picture taken by Claire Zugmeyer of me and a particularly adorable crayfish while we were at fish slough. I'm sitting on the dam that we were modifying in order to keep largemouth bass out of the upper part of the river so that pupfish can thrive there.

This is a picture taken by Jeff Jackson of me holding a garter snake that he found while doing a meadow survey near Grassy Lake. This meadow is one of the most amazingly gorgeous places I've ever been to, and it was well worth the long hike in.
