It's been a long and difficalt journey, but the F-15
from Arizona has finally arrived at Memorial Park in DeBary.
The airplane, a gift from the Saudi Arabian goverment,
is going to be a memorial for Brian McVeigh
who was killed during a terrorist bombing in 1996.
The pieces of the F-15 fighter took five hours to unload
from the flatbed truck that transported it 2.200 miles.

McVeigh was an F-15 maintenance crew chief serving with
the Air Force 58th Fighter Squadron in Saudi Arabia.
A few days before his planned return to the U.S.,
he was killed along with 18 others when terrorists
blew up a housing complex.
McVeigh grew up in DeBary,FL.

Soon after McVeigh's death, the City Council created
Memorial Park on a 2.3 acre site.
The property was donated by the Charles Gray family.
The donation of the fighter was coordinated by U.S.
Rep John Mica, R-Winter Park, and Saudi Arabia contributed
$50,000 to have it cut down and transported to Florida.
