Research projects

To obtain my PhD I worked on cauliflower mosaic virus, in the group of Thomas Hohn at the FMI, from March 1996 untill December 2000. A description of my PhD project can be found here. You can also read my papers in Plant Journal and in Journal of General Virology.
After obtaining my PhD I worked as a postdoc in the group of Manfred Heinlein in the same institute. I was working on a project concerning the mechanism by which systemic acquired resistance inhibits the spread of viruses, funded by Syngenta.
The group moved to the Botanical Institute of the University of Basel in April 2003.
