Professionalism: the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person. (Collegiate Dictionary, Merriam-Webster)
Court personnel have been identified as an essential part of the justice system and have been recognized as experts in the field of court procedures. The Superior Court Clerks Association works to increase the professional standing of its members.
EDUCATION
Education seminars are offered on a variety of subjects for professional and personal development, giving members the opportunity to obtain continuing education in job related topics.
Seminars are held in various sites around the state. These are open meetings, and all members, interested court personnel and prospective members are invited to attend.
CERTIFICATION
SCCA administers a certification program to enable its members to further enhance their skills and to provide additional tools to assist them in becoming more efficient and effective professionals.
The program is developed in such a way as to allow the members (from entry level clerk to experienced court manager) to select their own curriculum to complete the certification level of their choice.
BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
SCCA provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, methods and resources for the benefit of all of its members.
Each member receives a copy of the quarterly BULLETIN which provides information on upcoming seminars, reviews of recent seminars, summaries of new laws and articles of interest to all court personnel.
