Funny Stuff

Delving deep into my pysche, I have assertained that there are two main areas where I get the CU-style humour from.

Firstly, (do I have to admit this?), the computer section on Channel 4 Teletext, called Digitizer. The Digitizer web site isn't quite the same as the TV version, but perhaps you'll see a link to the heaven-on-earth that is the Cheltenham Update.

Secondly, and ever-so-slightly cooler, is The Mary Whitehouse Experience. Remember that? David Baddiel, Rob Newman, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis (were those their names?). And - blimey - I've found something on it. If you go to here, you'll find a transcription of one of the 'History Today' bits. Go there and relive those happy days when all anyone ever did was go around saying "that's you, that is."

Lastly, if you've got a sense of humour of any description whatsoever (people who like 'Clarissa Explains It All' excepted), you are a big fan of The Simpsons. So go - now! - to The Simpsons Archive, where they've got loads of stuff, including quasi-scripts which are embarassingly funny. Also, the unofficial UK site details how far the BBC schedules have ignored/mistreated the programme this week. IT'S THE MOST-WATCHED SHOW ON BBC2, YA TWATS!

Cheltenham Stuff

Hey, don't tell anyone, but I actually like Cheltenham (occasionally). If you want to know what the town is really about, visit the Unofficial Web Site (created by Flair UK, local web page designers). It's really quite good. However, I'm not holding my breath for them including a link to my page...

You might also like to try the Knowhere Guide To Cheltenham, and the Highlife Guide, although both are looking a little out-of-date now. I'm the best! I'm the best!

Oh, and thanks to PIP for letting me know about the Guide to Cheltenham, which I stopped reading after it said, "we now have a new character - Charlton Kings!".

Random Stuff

Wasn't sure whether to put this one in 'funny stuff' but anyway, a bloke e-mailed me after reading the CU, WHICH I APPRECIATE BY THE WAY, THE REST OF YOU, so why not visit Mentals Page O' Stuff, which, amongst other stuff, has got a HUGE list of hates (damn right), stuff about the lovely S. Bullock, and a section on Mr. Biffo from Digitizer, which is fantastic. Go there now!

Someone else who has appreciated my effort can be found at this page here, where you'll find another likes/hates list (including a like of the Speccy - hurrah!), and all sorts of other stuff which I didn't have time to explore - TOO BUSY WRITING THIS CU RUBBISH FOR YOU LOT, SEE.

And, if you've got any sense about you, you will go and visit my mate Alan's site, which I know absolutely nothing about because I haven't been there yet. Sorry, Al.
