WHO IS JESUS???

Verse Scripture Comment
KJV

Rev 22:16

NIV

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

In both versions Jesus Christ says that he is the Bright and Morning Star.
KJV

Isa. 14:12

NIV

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

Lucifer is mentioned in the KJV bible only once, he is not found in the NIV at all. Instead the NIV has replaced Lucifer with the "morning star", which according to the previous scripture is the Lord Jesus Christ. !? Confused. The Mormons use this verse to prove that the Lord Jesus and Lucifer are the same person. The Kjv does not make this grave error.
KJV

1Tim 3:16

NIV

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

Let us agree that the mystery of godliness was great, but what was the mystery of godliness? The KJV says God being manifest in the flesh. The NIV on the other hand says He appeared in a body, but who is He, in the NIV? Well Jesus Christ, so is Jesus Christ God? Not in this verse of the NIV He isn’t. The Jehovah’s Witness believe Jesus is a lesser God. They are loyal NIV readers. There are few scriptures saying that Jesus Christ is and is equal to God in all things. You might believe this, but find it unequivically in the NIV, not an easy job.
KJV

1John 3:16

NIV

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

Once again the NIV perverts and mistranlates ‘God’ to Jesus Christ. Did God lay down his life for us? Yes you say, grab your NIV and prove it!
KJV

1John 5:7

NIV

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

"For there are three that testify:"

This is probably the most perverse of all the errors. The NIV deletes the eternal truth that the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost are one. Once again removing evidence that the Lord Jesus Christ is the fullness of God in a body.
