Mission Statement The Independent Perspective is a journal of conservative and libertarian thought produced largely by students of The Florida State University. The Independent Perspective is not affiliated with the FSU or its Student Government or any of the Student Government's Agencies, Organizations, boondoggles, swindles, frauds, scandals, loud-mouths, rip-offs, or high-priced resume-fillers that it should choose to regurgitate, nor does it ever wish to be. All students, faculty, and community members are invited to submit material. The Independent Perspective is dedicated to articulating the principles of individual rights, limited government, free speech, free markets, moral responsibility, and rugged individualism. Our purpose is to educate the public about crucial issues while simultaneously entertaining them.
The Independent Perspective, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is solely educational. However, due to the fact that we would have to pay more money than we have to the IRS to be 501(c)3, donations are welcome, but not tax exempt. Contributors donating $50 or more will receive a lifetime subscription. Veggies are for rabbits. Eat meat. The Independent Perspective is a member of the Collegiate Network, administered by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
