It feels funny, at first, to see things from the point of view of standing on your own two feet.

Political correctness has been shaping your mind for a long time. For the record, let us define political correctness as the phrase itself suggests, not as certain pundits would have it:

The revision of fact to suit a political agenda. Propaganda.

The statement that any defense of liberalism constitutes political correctness is, itself, politically correct. It has no basis in fact nor any motive other than political character assassination.

Everyone likes to think for her or himself. We're problem-solvers at heart. We go by what we know before we decide. How good can our decisions be if we don't know all the facts?

The entries on this page may upset many people: militias and other right wing hate groups; the Daughters of the Confederacy; British Israelites; black nationalists and other left-wing hate groups; weak-willed moderates who allow creationism and bogus history to be taught in schools; flat-earth theorists; textbook publishers; and anyone else who wants to see history and science taught as they think these subjects should be instead of as they are.

In other words, this page opposes political correctness. It calls for the presentation of the facts and ideas so that You Can Make Up Your Own Mind.

The trouble is that we've been subjected to such wildly inaccurate data for years. When folks complain and ask that their textbooks tell the truth, the folks who have been using our schools and history books to disseminate their propaganda pretend that the truth is under assault. They call anyone what we should be calling them: politically correct.

A Response to "Open-Mindedness"

Here's a classic example of Real Political Correctness turned on its head -- as it usually is! A certain Engineering professor has been allowed by the university to use its web site to promote Holocaust Revisionism as long as he does not discuss it in class. Another professor has been fired for presenting a factual account of the Holocaust to his students and speaking to them about the need for engineers to be responsible for their work. So one professor can use the University to disseminate all the manufactured propaganda he wants while another is fired for telling the truth!
