He has been involved in politics and in GOP affairs since 1971 when he was eight years old stuffing envelopes at the local GOP Headquarters. Since then, he has served on the State Board Of Directors Of the California College dRepublicans, the YRFC, and the California Republican Assembly. In Addition, he served 11 years on the Santa Clara Country Republican Central Committee as both an alternate and elected member.

He has also served on the Legislative staffs of U.S. Senator Jim Broyhill(Rep. NC), Congressman William Cobey(Rep. NC, State Senator Jim Nielsen( Rep. Yuba City), State Assemblyman Wayne Grisham(Rep. Norwalk), and Governor John Engler ( Rep. Michigan) while he was Senate Majority Leader in Michigan. His campaign experience ranges from his work on the 1988 Bush Campaign in the Northeast in 1988 and also former Santa Clara City Councilman Dave Tobkin's two races in 1979 and 1983, along with dozens of GOP statewide and local races in eight states.

-Currently, Ed Rowen is working for Lehman Brothers in Menlo Park as a Deputy Director of Facilities and Govt Affairs. His duties include: handling Site Services, Government Relations, and coordinating research on world and regional economic issues that have a bearing on Investor and Customer Relations.
