Chemical studies

I am studying chemistry in Würzburg My first research project I did in Bristol (GB) in the group of Professor Dr. Selby Knox. We tried to create phosphole in the coordination sphere of a tri-ruthenium carbonyl cluster. In march and april 1997 I synthesized catalyst with a chiral axis for the epoxidations. Thereafter I did a gen technological project together with Dipl. Chem. Michael Wallisch in the working group of Professor Grummt. We did research work in the field of replication terminating proteins. In the meantime I´ve passed my diploma exam. I did a vacation work this summer at Procter & Gamble in Newcastle (GB). I took some nice pictures there. Aterwards made my diploma project in the working group of Professor Dr. Manfred Gessler (physiological chemistry) on the "isolation and characterisation of transcripition factors of the bHLH YRPW-group". Since August 1999 I´m doing my PhD project in the same working group.

Politics

I´m a member of the political youth-organisation Junge Union, the mother party CSU and the RCDS. Find information on the local poltical students group RCDS Würzburg. There also exists a national assembly named with lots of interesting information.
I am the head of Jungen Union Erlenbach, vice chairman of the Junge Union Miltenberg und vice charman of theJunge Union Unterfranken. Sometimes I am writing articles for the CSU-Kreisverband Miltenberg.

Private

I´ve got 3 brothers and two sisters. Some of them are on this foto. Last summer I made a big bicycle tour along the beach of the Baltic Sea. Here I am on the island of Rügen. At the end of 1999 I´ve been in Munich. At Chrismas 1999 my brother Uli Uli was back home again. In the carneval 2000 I was dressed up as a Musketier. The whole working group of Professor Gessler went to Austria for skiing at the beginning of February 2000. Here the fotos. In August 2000 I went with my pen-friend Rebeka from Slovenia on a bicycle tour to Rome. In the summer of 2001 we went to Croatia to the islands of Krk and Rab.
