Philadelphia Operation Town Watch is the largest volunteer organization in the City of Philadelphia dedicated to community safety. With over 600 active groups and 17,000 members, we serve as additional Eyes and Ears for the police as we Observe, Report and Document criminal activity in our neighborhoods.
Operation Town Watch exists in every police district and every neighborhood, of and by the residents,
Community Relations Officers in each police district work with Operation Town Watch staff to assist the groups to be effective partners in community safety and crime prevention.
The City offers support through resources, training and equipment for member groups. Training is held regularly throughout the city. Members are issued certificates and photo IDs at the completion of the training sessions.
Operation Town Watch welcome new members and groups. Join us in our efforts to make our city a safer place to be.
