Editorial

Over the past few weeks, the Black Swamp Chronicles has detailed some of the corruption within Findlay and Hancock County. I have provided you with the court documents and information to prove all of these stories. However, this is not the end of those types of stories. As editor of the Black Swamp Chronicles, I would now like to question some other activities in Findlay.

Local informants have provided me with information that Dave Haynes and Thomas Romaker are both involved in gambling rings in Findlay. Would you be surprised to know that local politicians, lawyers, law enforcement officers and protected individuals attend these card games and other gambling events?

Would you be surprised to learn that Terry Freed (who was not charged with a felony for his forgery) plays poker with the very officer involved in the investigation?

James C. Koehler has been linked to several real estate frauds. However, would you be surprised that there is evidence of a contract to kill, paid for by Koehler? The hired assassin did a video-taped confession for Jim Harpen of Channel 13 News (Toledo, Ohio). Would you be surprised to learn that Jim Harpen and the video have disappeared?

Too bad for James Koehler that the witnesses have not!

Several years ago, a local woman was dragged to death outside of Findlay. Would you be surprised to learn that James C. Koehler, his former wife Jane Snyder Koehler, Jack Snyder and Moses Veigh were all involved with Hope Temple and Mission Possible (another front operation of the Koehler conspiracy)? The murdered woman was the secretary for Hope Temple.

According to reliable sources, she had an appointment to meet with Findlay law enforcement detectives, the very night of her disappearance, to show how Hope Temple had been robbing the elderly of their property through brainwashing. Are you surprised that John Crouse (same detective involved with the Crates cover-up) was the detective for this murder investigation?

Additional information provided to me shows that Judge Joseph Niemeyer is being investigated for mail fraud. Would you be surprised to find out that Sheriff Mike Heldman has been stalling the investigation? Would you be surprised to learn that Sheriff Heldman has not been forthcoming with the Ohio Bureau for Criminal Investigation or the Federal Bureau of Investigations?

Black Swamp Anti-Crime Commission President Bob Kleuter was present during the discussion between a Hancock County detective and BCI's Paul Williams. Sheriff Heldman has the proof, so why is he not proceeding with criminal charges? Additionally, why is the Prosecutor's Office not pursuing this offense?

Informants have also uncovered a witness from which Judge Joseph Niemeyer and Judge Richard Reinbolt accepted a $1200 partial payment for a court decision. Would you be surprised to uncover that Cheryl Treft was not given probation as agreed because $800 was left owing to the judges?

The family also was unable to come up with the additional $4000 to cover the payoffs for the attorneys involved. Would you be surprised if a Jenera man and Treft's family were threatened with physical harm if they did not come up with additional money?

The story was in the Courier (June 21, 1989, Page Three, "Local News"). How many other payoffs have there been? How much does it cost to buy yourself a local judge?

Why was the car in which rapist Eric Pearson committed his crime, not returned to the owner (who was unrelated and not involved)? Why did this indirect victim suffer due to Eric Pearson's crime?

Why was this serial rapist allowed to move into Arlington to find more victims? Why did Prosecutor Bob Fry fail to get a search warrant for Pearson's attic where other rapes had been committed?

Could there be films out there somewhere? Is there a market for that kind of movie in Findlay? Has Mr. Fry ever been asked about these films during previous "Involve" meetings?

Is there a link between former Findlay Police Officer Mark Maston's pornography, the recent kidnapping committed by Graham, County Road 24 drug ring of John Mizen, and the Hancock County Prosecutor's Office? Where are these films going? (County Road 24 drug ring Detective John Crouse). Are you surprised?

Why is the local drug delivery not being stopped? Could it be that our local law enforcement officers are profiting from this activity? Is the Findlay Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff's Department nothing more than armed delivery servicemen of profitable substances?

When is it going to end? What can we do to stop it?

Ohio Revised Code reads as follows:

ORC 2901.13 Sec c. If the period of limitations provided in a Division A of this section has expired, prosecution shall be commenced for an offense involving misconduct in office by a public servant as defined in Section 2901.01 of the Revised Code, at any time while the accused remains a public servant, or within two years thereafter. Sec 2901.01 describes Police Officers, Mayors, City Solicitors and County Prosecutors as falling under the laws as a public servant.

Those involved can be prosecuted. Being a judge, police officer or mayor does not protect anyone from criminal prosecution. Additionally, the statute of limitations does not even begin to run until they are no longer in a public office. After leaving public office, they can be prosecuted within two years.

The people can call a grand jury with a petition process. Are there enough people who are tired of the corruption to provide their signature and demand a grand jury?

The corruption has been going on for far too long. Our children are going to inherit this mess. Will they tolerate such corruption? Could they be future victims? When will we ensure their protection?

Can you afford to buy protection? Will your children be able to afford the protection for their families?

The United States was founded on a government "for the people". A government that is to be run "by the people". Our forefathers stood their ground against persecution. They lost their lives so that we could decide our future. Thousands in numerous wars have made this same sacrifice. A deaf ear offers no honor. In this case, silence is not golden!

Now is the time. Findlay is the place. Findlay is your home. Findlay is my home. It can be a safe place for our children to play. It can be a community of honesty. Do you want it bad enough? Are you willing to speak out? Are you strong enough to do it? (In this case, prayers without action will correct nothing.)

The Black Swamp Chronicles has been the voice of myself, as well as the other writers, investigators and victims that have been involved in these publications. I have heard from hundreds of you. Your desires are apparent. The Black Swamp Chronicles will continue to be your voice, but this medium will not accomplish your goals alone.

Join together and know that you are not alone. If you are a victim, you have others out there who share the pain and fear with you.

Assemble! You are guaranteed that right. Petition for a grand jury. Demand that your congressmen and senators ensure your legal rights. Move outside of Findlay's judicial system. Contact the Whistleblowers Organization. (See website link.) They can provide protection and legal counsel for you.

As we progress with our investigation, we are particularly interested in hearing from those who may receive intimidating threats from this point on (whether direct or subtle), with the intention of shutting us up!
