SAME SEX MARRIAGE:
1) According to my Webster's Dictionary marriage can mean "any close union"
2) We often speak of a marriage between two factions that work intimately with each other.
3) It is in Society's interest for homosexuals to make legal commitments to their partners.
4) It is in the best interest of all parties if such commitments simplify such things as property rights and other legal matters.
5) I have heard that marriage is only between a man and a woman. I see that as tradition, not a legality. It is a public, legal committment for two people who wish to work together to secure a stable household.
6) No one can indicate that anyone is harmed by same sex marriage so it is not immoral.
7) Anyone who claims it is wrong based on their religious convictions is imposing their will on others,
a concept that is unacceptable in a "free" country.
