Active, sniping resentment of Earl's Court Exhibition Centre

What would Earl's Court be without Earl's Court Exhibition Centre? Why should local (un)worthies be allowed to get away with their selfish sniping campaigns against our Great British institution?

You and all of us might know that Earl's Court would not be Earl's Court without Earl's Court, but try telling that to the crowd that resents the Stadium that gives our locality its world-famous name!
The Association of Residents Associations, spearheaded by the bould Phelps, abuse the platform provided by the Royal Borough's Licensing Committee (not to mention the local press) in order to hammer home their dreary objections to their peace and quiet being allegedly threatened or disturbed by the most innocuous of gatherings at the Stadium.
"What's that? A pop concert? I object!"
"The Royal Tournament, did you say? Object! Why, security precautions dictate I won't be able to use my nearest letter-box! (Splutter, splutter.) Object! Object! Object!"

July, and once again Earl's Court is teeming with visitors to the Royal Tournament... Sadly, this is the last Royal Tournament to be held in Earl's Court.
Fortunately, however, this is not due to the belly-aching caucus: though over the years they have said what they could to stir up petty-minded disaffection against it. You know, the "Ban the Notting Hill Carnival because it is bigger than my little snail's shell of a life" kind of mentality.

The end of the Royal Tournament in Earl's Court is the end of an era.
We, Local_Patriots (Earl's Court), salute its passing.
And hail the prospect of all shows and exhibitions to come.
