Fellow SVT collectors, the basis for this form is to gather as much
information on the SVT 40 and SVT 38 rifles as possible. Hopefully some patterns in serial
numbering and changes in production characteristics will become evident if a large enough
data base can be created. If your rifle has any interesting characteristics-no matter how
small or seemingly insignificant- please describe them. Any and all information is held in
the strictest confidence and no names will be associated with any material submitted. The
purpose of the data base is solely for fact finding. Your input is a key part of our
