THE EARTH CHRONICLES

I came across a web page some time ago that highly recommended a book by one Zecharia Sitchin.  This web page guaranteed that it would change my life and the way I looked upon history.  The book is called "The 12th Planet" and is the first in a series of six books collectively called "The Earth Chronicles".  I have read the first three books and have become compelled to repeat and amplify the guarantee given to me.  These books and the knowledge within them are absolutely priceless and will change your life forever.

Zecharia Sitchin is one of a small handful of brilliant people able to read and understand the ancient languages of the Sumerians, Egyptians and Hebrews along with several other modern languages.  His incredible knowledge of such languages enables him to consult with other scholars in their original tongues and interpret the texts of our ancestors from ancient civilizations.

The Earth Chronicles are magically presented as a story about how our solar system and life on Earth began.  It discusses the first civilizations and most importantly the gods (with a small g) they worshiped.  As the story is told, evidence is presented in the form of translations, corroborative documents from other civilizations and religions, pictures and artefacts.  I would like to present a very brief overview on some of the events described in the first three books to give you an idea of what to expect.  I apologise now for any degradation of importance in my explanations, these books must be read to fully understand our history.

The first civilization on Earth was founded in Sumer.  "It was, as a century of archaeological discoveries and scholarly research has established, the land where Civilization began nearly six thousand years ago; where suddenly and inexplicably, as though out of nowhere, there appeared a written language and literature; kings and priests; schools and temples; doctors and astronomers; high-rise buildings, canals, docks, and ships; an intensive agriculture; an advanced metallurgy; a textile industry; trade and commerce; laws and concepts of justice and morality; cosmological theories; and tales and records of history and prehistory." The Sumerians created the sexagesimal number system that was superior to the later Greek and Roman systems and remains superior to our current system in many ways.  The foot and its 12 inches, the dozen and our 360-degree circle are some examples of what remains from the knowledge of these ancient people.  The library of Ashurbanipal in Nineveh contains a medical section detailing the surgical removal of  a "shadow covering a man's eye", probably a cataract.  Sumerian physicians gave diagnoses and prescriptions, they were not sorcerers or magicians.  Sumerians also had a detailed written law that was upheld by a court system similar to our own with proceedings and judgements.

This first civilization of Earth knew about every planet in our solar system.  They knew that the other planets had moons, volcanos that generated internal heat, and that some had life-sustaining water, like Mars.  We commonly refer to Earth as being the 3rd planet in our solar system.  However the Sumerians referred to us as the 7th planet in our 11-member system; if you include our moon which is large enough, and once was a planet in itself.  We only discovered Pluto in 1930, how in this universe could the first people on Earth have known that Earth is actually the 7th planet counting inwards from the outside?

The answer lying in almost every significant ancient text including the Old Testament, is a race of people known as the Anunnaki, "Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came".  These were the gods of the ancient civilizations, depicted as people wearing horns on their heads as shown below.  This is a picture of the god Enki who was dividing the African continent between his six sons.  The main symbol of the gods was a winged disk that took a variety of different forms.  Not only did the Sumerians correctly describe us as the 7th planet, they also said there was a 12th member of our solar system called Marduk.  NASA confirmed the existence of this 12th planet in 1982.  This is where the Anunnaki came from and where the Sumerians received their knowledge of the outer planets.

Bode's Law states that the planets should be placed at relatively specific distances from the sun and between each other.  All the planets are spread consistently according to this law with only one exception.  Where there should be a planet, there is only an asteroid belt containing approximately 3000 asteroids; the remains of a shattered planet.  Astronomers agree that a planet once existed there, but they cannot successfully explain its disappearance.  The texts of antiquity can and do so beyond doubt.  The diagram below shows the orbital path of Marduk as given to the Sumerians.  Every 3600 years the 12th planet makes a journey through the solar system crossing paths with the planets.  The unlucky planet between Mars and Jupiter was once called Tiamat and was destroyed by the moons of Marduk.  The result of this head-on collision explains why the asteroid belt revolves in the opposite direction to all the other planets.

The ancient texts also explain how and why the gods - from the 12th planet – created us in their image.  It explains their reasons for coming to Earth, the wars they had amongst themselves and the reasons they left.  Even if you decide to ignore the colossal amounts of evidence presented in these books, they still make for great reading.  If you believe that Zecharia Sitchin is wrong, know that nobody has ever disproved these theories because his uncanny attention to detail, research and skill as one of the best historians of all time puts him ahead of all his critics.

We already know the ending to this magnificent epic, we are standing here today against all odds, now it is time to learn the beginnings!
