Our Volunteers

Dana Moore
Dana Moore of Birmingham, Alabama, is a 50-year old graphics artist by profession and education, but he is also skilled and experienced in many forms of building construction and automotive repair. It was his belief that these skills might be needed by the Kosovar refugees that led Dana, who has never before left the United States, to volunteer himself for two weeks to helping in whatever way he could to ease the pain in this crisis.

Recently, Dana has been instrumental in uniting a group of shareholders scammed by an OTC stock, MTEI. Largely through his seemingly tireless efforts, the matter was placed securely into the hands of the SEC, bringing some degree of hope to the scam's victims and establishing Dana's reputation for leadership and compassion.

Greg (Dusty) Rhodes
Our second volunteer responded to a posted plea to write and offer help at our email address. Dusty (Greg) Rhodes is 53 years old, a former honorably discharged member of the U.S. Air Force (E4, whatever that is), now from Libertyville, Illinois (35 miles north of Chicago).

Dusty has been all over the globe, and one of the greatest assets he brings to this group is simply knowing his way around so well. This crops up constantly as I ask for his thoughts on various issues. He owned a small cafe in Thailand for awhile, has worked on a Norwegian freighter, been involved in a movie in Mexico, driven a bus from London to Katmandu, Nepal, worked on an Australian shrimp trawler, and has even been to Macedonia before, when it was simply part of Yugoslavia. We've managed to get a "best place" (Tahiti) and "worst place" (India) out of our seasoned traveler.

Brad Barth
Our third volunteer already has everyone in this group excited. Brad is a 45-year old math teacher from Maryland. He has volunteered summers doing construction work in Appalachia, so that already tells you a lot about him. He raised the fare for his ticket as far as Europe almost immediately by appealing to his church and being given frequent flyer miles. He plans to leave around June 20.

Addendum, May 30: As of this date, Brad has raised his fare, his expenses, and $2,000 to be handed over to the Mother Tereza Organization for food when he arrives.
