"An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind." [Ben Kingsley as Mohandas Gandhi in "Gandhi"]

Richard Attenborough, David's brother [who has made lots of wildlife documentars for BBC], had wanted to make "Gandhi" for about 20 years before he got permission to film in India. But still after so long time, Richard had lots of ideas & inspiration to make this unique movie, which recieved 8 Oscars in '83 for the movie year of '82. Most people assert "Gandhi" was the best movie made in the 80ies & that's the opinion to common people, who most of them don't share the philosophy to Mohandas Gandhi, especially not when it comes to non-violence & pacifism! Even though Gandhi has been my one & only real idol for a long time, I didn't hear about the movie untill some days ago, when I saw it ranked as one of the 250 most popular films at the Internet Movie Database, IMDb. I promise that I'll tell my visitors continuely [=each week] where this film is placed on the list. This week it's number 134.
