At the moment I am Maputo as Associate Expert in Democratization & Good Governance at the European Commission Delegation in Mozambique. In Tanzania I served as Trainer/Reporting Officer for the UN/EU Electoral Assistance Secretariat. In Zimbabwe I worked as Observer on behalf of the European Union for the Parliamentary Elections. In Suriname I worked as Long Term Observers Co-ordinator of the European Union Electoral Observation Unit. In Haiti I served as technical adviser within the United Nations Development Program electoral assistance mission. In Indonesia I was "Regional Coordinator" within the electoral monitoring observation mission organized by the European Union. As regarding my international experience in the electoral field I have been also mid-term observer for the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic while In Nigeria I served as short term observer on behalf of the European Union but under the umbrella of the United Nations Electoral Assistance Secretariat.

I have been also two times Polling Supervisor and once Registration Supervisor in Bosnia-Herzegovina for the Italian Foreign Affairs Minister but on behalf of the Organization for the Security and Cooperation in Europe.

From January till April 1999 I worked as a consultant for an Italian non governmental organization (Progetto Sud) to revise a cooperation project to build a multimedia center for disabled in the Chilean northern region of Tarapacá. The project sees the collaboration between the "Centro Telematico Multimediale" in Milan and the University "Arturo Prat" in Iquique.

As regarding my qualifications, I received my Degree in Political Science from the University of Florence and wrote my thesis on the social and economics impacts of new information communication technologies. I prepared thanks to an European Union's Erasmus scholarship spent in Belgium at Université Libre de Bruxelles and at Université Catholique de Louvaine la Neuve.

Till August 1997 I was working in Brussels in an association for the promotion and the development of multimedia services, called Titan and in this context I have also been sent in Dakar for the "Atelier Inaugural de Formation" of the World Bank's program called "African Virtual University".

At the beginning of September 1997 I won a scholarship and moved in Copenaghen in order to attend a Master of Arts on Society, Science and Technology organized by the Universities of Roskilde and Oslo. I wrote a dissertation entitled "Telecommunications for a Global Sustainability" within a specialization on International Political Economy. I explored the rapidly evolving and expanding multi-faced sector of telecommunication in the past twenty five years in relation with global sustainability analyzing several aspects on north-south relations, technological governance and technology transfer.
