LAOS,
ANOTHER PROVINCE OF VIETNAM
Instead of
Laos to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its victory, Vietnam shows its bossy
and control over Laos.
The fact is
very clear. Source from the Interior Ministry in Laos reportedly said that the
Laotian Government and its National Assembly have to bite the bullet and shut
down Christian Evangelical churches throughout the country because Laos was
forced by Vietnam, its boss.
The
government's yearly budget depends on foreign assistance, and much of that
comes from NGO and Christian organizations. By shutting down all the churches
in Laos, it stands to lose substantial foreign aid in which the government did
not want to. But Vietnam made Laos to accept the move, the ministry said. Laos
is very poor and depends on NGO and Christian organizations to help develop its
rural areas, such as providing funds and materials for school and hospital.
There are
two major reasons, which concern Vietnam and have to force the Laotian
Government to close down the Christian Evangelical Churches. Every member of
the Christian Evangelical Churches is forced to sign a consent letter to adopt
other religion and to worship Phi (animism, shamanism and Buddhism). Christians
are forced to renounce Christianity once and for all. Whoever does not comply and follow the order
will be arrested and must face a life sentence according to the new penal code
of justice (a secret code).
1. During the mid 1990s, Vietnam experienced an
outburst of Christian conversion in Vietnam, mainly in the Northern and among
ethnic minorities, in which Vietnam is very concerned about the instability
among the ethnicity. Vietnam had arrested and detained thousands of Christians,
and propagated to denounce their teaching and belief. Vietnam claimed that Christian
missionaries from abroad converted thousands of ethnic minorities and teaches
them not to bury their dead but wrap them with rugged clothes and throw the
corps over the creeks and rivers. Vietnam is afraid that the same situation may
repeat again in Laos.
2. The Vietnamese and Laotian governments
suspected that foreigners and Christian Missionaries play a roll in these
unsolved series of explosion around the country, as well in the Capital City of
Laos. They fear that it may escalate and spread to Vietnam. Vietnam then made a
clear decision to force Laos to shut down its Christian Evangelical Churches
and to keep an eye on foreigners and all foreign aid organizations.
Therefore,
it clearly indicates that Laos is no longer an independent and sovereign
country, but simply a province of Vietnam. Laos has no right whatsoever to rule
and govern its own people, but to take orders from the Hanoi Government. Laos
has completely lost its independence, sovereignty, and the right of existence
as a Nation-State. This is a sad and tragic situation for every Laotian citizen
around the world.
