Founders
Hello, I'm Jacqueline Stephens-Burke co-founder and former President of T.A.S.K.  I began my illustrious student carreer in 1995 and graduated in May 2000 with a B.S. in psychology and family studies. I then took myself to University of Michigan where I'm getting my masters in social work.
I began T.A.S.K. in 1998 after having volunteered at a local organization and seeing the plight of children in our area.  The particular children who captured my heart were the sweetest kids but where so poorly cared for that their future looked very bleak.  I did all I could for these children, went through all the proper channels and when that failed I became very upset with our society.
That's when my husband James told me to stop whining and do something about it.  Thanks to his prodding I started T.A.S.K.  My hope is to get people like you to become involved with children, and through a close relationship teach and SHOW them they CAN have a happy and successful future.

James Burke is co-founder and former T.A.S.K. Treasurer.  He is the real reason T.A.S.K. was created in the first place.  He pushed Jacque to start a group on campus, and was there to help her along the way.  He graduated in 2000 with a Business degree and moved to Ann Arbor with his wife.

Trica Trowbridge is truely the surrogate mother of T.A.S.K.  She was not there for it's conception but was a strong force within it for it's first two years.  She helped it to grow into what it is today.  Trica graduated in the summer of 2000 with a degree in social work and has since moved to Minnesota...we miss her :(
